Got hold of this at the weekend and enjoyed playing it through so far, however there are a few niggles Im suffering from and just wondered if anyone else has had them.

Mostly sound related, the sound levels are terrible and unless I turn the volume up to nearly 3x what I normally have it on I have trouble hearing the voice overs, and then the background sounds are way too loud. Dont seem to be able to find any sound settings in the game? Could be me just being blind I guess.

Also on the level on the tanker, I kept losing a lot of the sounds, couldnt hear any narration, enemies, gunshots, only the background sound.

Have found a few reports of sound problems on the net for this, just wondering how wide spread they are.

Cheers mate, mine is through a VGA cable with the single sound jack, so I dont have much control over the sound options. Might have a little play with the TV options just to see if I can tweak it at all.

Never had any sound problems from this game at all... but I do get stuck on the environment quite a lot, which is really annoying. Usually a jump or weapon out gets Sam free, but sometime I would have to reload... anyone experienced that?

Yeh I got stuck once also. Think it was Shanghai level just after you've cracked the safe. Got stuck in a wall trying to hide :D

I must say, I really didn't like this game. I got quite far (to the skyscraper section) but then really couldnt stand the game anymore. I didn't experience any bugs though :)

Think Ive just done the skyscraper level, must say Ive really enjoyed it so far, not played a SC game since the first one. Certainly has held my attention more than a lot of other games Ive had. No doubt that will end when GOW turns up.

Think the sound is slightly better since I changed the sound output type on the TV, really doesnt agree with virtual surround.

I personally don't know how anyone couldn't like Splinter Cell, but each to their own I suppose.

Im a HUGE fan of all 4 of them, and must have completed all of them bout 20 times each :) Double Agent is the best of the lot too, one of my fav games of all time I think, along with Ocarina of Time and Dead Rising of course :)
