Over there...
I have an official 360 wheel, and my brother just recently bought a 360 and is looking to buy a wheel too, but with a family is a little bit strapped for cash.

He could buy a used 360 wheel or a new Logitech DriveFX.

I know about the "feel" of the official wheel, but i hear the drive is actually pretty decent too.

Anyone here got opinions on either of them.

AFAIK the DriveFX isn't a true force feedback wheel like the official MS wheel. The Logitech just takes the pad vibration signals and uses them for pseudo force feedback effects, whereas the official wheel has genuine force feedback which is polled directly by the game.

tried it though?

I read somewhere they were pretty decent - but then could be crap compared the official ones

I haven't tried it, no. I have only used the official wheel. I just can't see 'fake' force feedback feeling anything like realistic though.

I know someone that has tried it if that helps. He said it sucked as while it would 'move' the wheel it was never in true relation to the movement of the car. So for example you would hit a camber to the left but the wheel would push you left and right as you hit when it should obviously only push in one direction, as has been said it is simply a posh form of rumble, not true force feedback.

Go official.
