360 wireless headset

My pre-ordered headset didn't turn up today, so ended up buying one from work, cost £9 more! When my pre-order turns up, I'll take that one back to work for a refund :D

Need someone online to try it out with now!

Out of all the people who bought this, who here is happy with the sound quality?

I have seen many mixed reviews saying quality is better, quality is worse, range sucks, range is good, it's better than the wired headset, it's worse than the wired headset blah blah blah! :D - you get the idea :p

I've currently got one on order but I'm starting to have second thoughts after having seen two or three bad reviews. I'd just like to know people's opinion on the product.

Thanks.

Been using mine for a few days now.

Range is decent, not as a good as the standard headset but still good enough for my needs, can walk from the living room, into the dining room, then into the kitchen. Going upstairs and i loose the signal which i didnt on the old headset.

Sound quality seems better to me than the old headset, very clear to listen to and people who ive spoken to have said that the speech quality is also very clear.

Well worth the purchase in my view, no cables to connect, small and comfortable. £25 well spent :)

Mixed feelings. Sound quality is a bit less than the wired, and despite being less than a metre from the console i get quite nasty interference now and then. Not sure if that's due to the sheer number of wireless gizmos I have in my room these days.

However its quite comfortable, just remember to mute it when you go to the bog

What old headset???, didnt know there was another wireless headset out before this one?

Anyways have had mine since last sat and last night i managed to get on live with it and have a conversation with my bro, who thought it sounded pretty good. Dont know about interference as i didnt get as far as i could tell, its very comfy though...didnt realise i still had it on when i was eating my food downstairs lol:p.

Its a good headset and something i would recommend buying to anyone, makes life much more easier without having to worry about cables being pulled out etc etc.

Unless he meant he took the wireless controller and wired headset with him as daft as that sounds?

LOL how dumb do i feel :p, totally forgot that the wireless controller also allows you to plug a wired headset in so going out of range from the console would mean a loss of signal....dear oh dear, my brain isnt functioning very well today i think :(.

well i gave it a good test last night with TDU. I'm well impressed with it, sound is a lot clearer than the wired headset, i asked some people how i sounded to them and they said i sounded clear and crisp, also it is very comfortable (for me at least) after a minute or two, i couldnt feel it on my ear at all.

my score 10/10 - no complaints at all :)

OT: hey Whappers, how come you have a 360 sig but no gamerscore ??

He might be like me, having only just bought a 360 that hasn't been delivered yet, getting all excited by creating a sig :)

lol. That is exactly the case! :D Mysignature has been like this for a while now. I got the gamertag "Whappers" whenever I could in case someone else would try taking it. It's a pretty random name I had to admit, but I have come accross other times where it has been taken.

Anyway, I ordered my Xbox 360 with loads of games last week off an online retailer (I'm not going to bother even hinting at what shop it is with the rules an' all) but I got a nice student discount. I think that theft of £1M worth of Xbox 360s might be holding up our orders. All the games have arrived at my house but no sign of the actual Xbox 360 and PGR3 + Free Wireless Controller pack or the wireless headset. It's not that bad actually, I mean I don't mind when I get the Xbox 360 delivered because I'm at uni up until the 17th December. It had beter arrive before christmas!!!

Whappers.
