Hi chaps tonight my RAID 0 vanished but luckily i have been using it for games & not windows. (had a feeling something was wrong)
Now one of the drives has developed a *Click* when its trying to access after the POST.
Do you recon its fubar'd?
It did do this about 6 months ago then came back after a 10 minute wait (turned pc off)
not this time though.
Its about 3 years old so is still under WD warrenty, RMA time??

Took a visit to WD website & it looks like the HD is still under warrenty which is cool as i bought it 3 years ago, but what is worrying is that i checked the warrenty status of my other raptor & it says *Out Of Region* contact place of purchase!
I bought it from OcUK over 2 years ago! They'd probably laugh down the phone at me if i asked for a 4 year old HD to be rma'd :p :)
Does anyone know what this OUT OF REGION actually means?
Nothings wrong with the drive its just got me curious.

Means its not a EU drive. If you bought a drive off a famous auction site from the States you'd get that message. If you're sure you bought it from OCUK then you might want to consider having a word, as you won't have a warranty on that drive.

Yeah i bought it from OcUK 2 years ago (drive is dated feb 2004), a year after i bought the first one from them... Never deal with auction sites... I like the thought of getting *new* hardware.
And looking at the WD website it say to contact place of purchase. So it looks like OcUK would have to do the RMA service IF it fails. Can a DON confirm this as they was & have always been backed up with a 5 year warrenty?
