3770k to 6700k

Has anyone done the above upgrade path?

Saw a video lately that showed some nice improvements in certain games where the difference at times was 10-15fps which is a nice jump, especially for minimums.

I know it's not a very cost effective upgrade but I have the itch.

Even going from the 4790K to the 6700K in the Witcher 3 and GTAV according to Digital Foundry has shown some nice FPS improvements so you should definitely see gains

You'll see gains, but I wouldn't upgrade were I in your shoes. But hey if you got the money, and you've had that cpu for a while then it may be time to upgrade

I'd rather have the extra cores from X99, that would be a bigger upgrade.

It's what I've done, I was going to go 6700K but got a good deal on a 5930K so went the X99 route instead

I've yet to see my 3770k struggle, pointless upgrade imo, Go X99.

If u need a CPU with HT u need X99 its that simple. Otherwise i5 6600k or even non K with blk OC is fine.

But u need HT the choice is obvious X99 all the way.

I'm perfectly happy with my 4790k at 4.7 ghz I've yet to see that break a sweat, especially when gaming is concerned I'd wait off, personally

Waste of money.

I'm still rocking a 3570k and its still going strong.
