Hi all,
So I bought this motheboard MSI K8N NEO.4-FI, and I got the 3800 X2. I fitted a Zalman 7700 with its Fan Mate controller.
It worked without any problems at first. However yesterday I switched it on and after 3 seconds my PC switched off automatically. I tried another time and it switched off after 7 seconds. Then, I increased the fan RPM for the CPU and it worked without problems.
It went into Windows and I opened the MSI utility that can be used to monitor the CPU temp. When I lower the CPU fan to silent mode this MSI utility starts the alarm. HOwever when I increase the temp it starts to sound the alarm.
The CPU temp is 33C showing in the MSI utility while if I use the AMD dashboard it shows 28C so I do not think that the CPU is overheating.
I do not know whether there is someone who had this issue. What I am thinking is that in the BIOS there is a settings that shuts down the PC automatically when the fan speed is at a minimum.
Thanks
