just a little annoyance... My 3870 pitches up as a 3800 series card in Vista 32... is there any way to make it show up as a 3870? mildly irritating when i see that on the system tab... Got Catalyst 8.2 installed...

i know on the ATI site it lists HD3800 series as the top step for their cards in Vista 32-bit when downloading the drivers, could that be the problem?

ehm, sticker says...

HD3870 512MB PCI Express 2.0
Dual DVI/TVO
X-Turbo III Dual Slot Fansink
228.59*111.51mm PCB

and it's a Gecube HD3870 X-Turbo III O.C. Edition - stock clocks are 810/1125MHZ, reported as such in GPU-Z...

My Gigabyte 3870 came today and looks just like the one they have for the 3850.

What worriest me more is that Catalyst is saying that it is GDDR3 and not 4. It already looks like a 3850 and not the one I bought.
