3870 XT v 9600 GT?

3870 I assume would be better.

Mid range cards are never as good as the top end cards from the previous generation. The 9600 is better then the 8600 but the 3870 absolutely trashed the 8600s.

Look up tomshardware if they have the 9600 benched yet.
 
They are about the same, 9600GT beats x3870 in some benchmarks, and 3870 beats 9600GT in others.
 
The 9600GT beats the 3870 overall especially with AA enabled, it's the better card imo. Overclock it to hell and back and it will be around the same as an 8800GT.
 
The sparkle is a nice card, it'll also hold is value more because of the passive cooling compared to others when you wish to sell it on. Although it's a shame it doesnt have onboard HDMI like other 9600GTs, as it's a perfect HTPC card.
 
hmm might go for the 9600gt.

anyone know what cables come with the card? and exactly which model it it (HM or HP)?
