3870X2 3D mark & CSS problems

8.3 drivers + hotfix, check sig. for specs. 3d mark I only get 9000 :S and source KEEPS crashing out. COD4 runs fine, no noticeable stuttering on full settings, also, even when I quit source, it crashes just upon exit. Anyone with any ideas? I only just got PC back from UCuk who did a full test & said everything's ok. Ideas please people, any feedback GREATLY appreciated =D

you got both power connections plugged in etc? (not sure if the card will even turn on with one tho)

Uninstall the drivers, run driver cleaner

1) Then install the drivers from the manufacturer cd
2) Uninstall and upgrade to 8.3
3) Install hotfix over the top of 8.3
You may not need to do step 1

then give it a go

Done, still no difference, source crashes profusely. Spoke to steam, it's a "hardware issue"

Try the usuals,
Check temps to see if its overheating (rivatuner to check temps, ati tool artifact test to heat it)
Run memtest to see if your memory is at fault
Try Orthos and Ati tool to fully load the machine (possibly even a defrag to hammer the disc) to see if the psu is at fault

If none of the above work get into contact with the place you bought it and seek advice, possibly RMA

Nah I get this also , I have gotten this *HL2.EXE* crash for a long time since moving to VISTA. Only happens when I exit the game . It has happened on an X1900, a 3870 and now on my 3870X2......

had same problem with cs:s when using two 3870xt but 3dmark06 worked fine i mainly play cs:s so i sold them and got gts g92 till new gen comes. less hustle tbh plug in install drivers and play no crashes no bugs etc...

uninstall 8.3 install 8.2 worth a try
