I want to get a 3870XT 512MB card for my PC but not sure if my PC is upto the job.

Here's my specifications:

Coolermaster Real Power 520w Modular Power Supply.
Coolermaster CM-690 Dominator Case.
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4200+ 2.20GHz Not Overclocked.
Abit AN-M2HD nForce 520 Motherboard.
GeIL 2GB PC2-6400C5 800MHz.
Western Digital Caviar SE16 250GB SATA-II 16MB Cache.
Samsung SH-S203D 20x DVD±RW SATA Dual Layer ReWriter.

All purchased from OcUK not so long ago as a second PC, but wanting to add a decent graphics card to it and I can only game at 1280x1024 Max.
 
it should be fine, but depending on the games you play, for 1280x1024 you may be able to get away with a 3850
 
I was looking at building a whole new PC but decided to get a decent graphics card instead. The games I would play is Halo 2, Juiced 2, Gears of War, World in Conflict probably be about it.
