Ok planning to go watercooling so i just purchased a bigger case. Previously i had the Coolermaster Wavemaster which i was very happy with but it wasent the biggest case in the world and the air flow was very poor. So i went ahead and bought the Gigabyte 3d Aurora and am very happy with it so far. Seems to be a very sturdy case and my overall temps have improved. I am thinking of going for the following kit:

My main concern is that the radiator will not fit inside the case where the two 120mm fans are located. I understand that the rad is larger then two 120mm fans but by how much? I want the radiators fittings to be near the PCI slots in my case. I can see in the picture of the kit that the fittings come out quiet far and may not fit in the back of my case. I know that most poeple will tell me to mount the rad outside the case with the provided fittings but i dont have a lot of room behind my case. I am afraid that the tubing will kink too much and stop flow altogether. The width of the rad also concerns me because the space for it to fit in is exactly 120mm wide. Below are some pics of the case to anyone who is not familiar with the layout.

Where i want the radiator to go

The radiator fittings might not fit in this space (Can remove the bracket thats holding the PCI cards in place)

Fittings can't go on top

The width of fan area is only 120mm

I only have about 4 inches of clearance between the back of the case and my wall

Can anyone tell me if it will fit or not?

Thanks

I was planning to do exactly this with my apex. Interested.

Goes for any full tower really with 2x 120 on the back. It should work fine. If not you can drill better holes.

I very much doubt that a 120.2 will work on the inside of the rear because there is only just enough space for two fans but the rad has space for two fans with a plenum on each end.

Yep really doubt it would fit inside the case. Ive just fitted water cooling in my 3D and Ive put the RAD on the outside like this...

Edit: Sorry for the wonkeyness :p

I was thinking of mounting the radiator inside the case but on top of the existing fans. Sandwich it between four fans ans that way it doesent have to fit in the 120mm gap next to the I/O shield. Thnks for all the suggestions gonna go ahead and buy it anywayz. If it doesent fit inside ill get it to fit somewhere else :D

It's not going to fit because there is too small a gap between the top of the top fan and the PSU. You would need roughly 1½" inches.

I'll just fit it outside the case my sis is moving out soon and im movin in a bigger room. That way i can have a lot more space for my technology :D gotta buy a HDTV and Xbox 360 and see whats that like ;)
