now, can someone just explain what this all means? as I've just got back from work and my brain is fried :) taa

and also if this is a pants result, what do i do to get things quicker?the card is overclocked from stock, and I havn't a clue how to overclock so I wouldn't like to havea go myself, but i can fiddle with settings is someone tells me how to do it:)

ok well there's one guy who ive just foound with exactly the same gear as me, except i have the overclocked 7900GT and he has the standard.

however his FSB on his mobo is 450Mhz as opposed to my 266Mhz

also there's this
......................... mine.................... his
CPU Name.......... 2136 MHz...........3597 MHz
CPU String........Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 6400 @ 2.13GHz

I don't know about the CPU name thingm but thats saying to me he's done something. Putting two and two together I'm presuming thats linked to the FSB (whatever that is) !!!

I'm so confused and I still have no idea what I'm looking at? but what i do know is that even though we've got the same gear he's running his pc faster..
help!!!!!

what advantage would I get from doing that, and is it relitively (sp) safe , well as safe as overclocking may be?

would I notice that bigger difference in performance if i done that?

at the end of the day I've just spend a shed load of cash on my new pc, and want to get my moneys worth out of it

hehe, I have a friend who lives in mulbarton, she sometimes works in the pub when she's not at uni. small world :)

so what do you think to my post above about the cpu, or getting the most out of my comp?

ok well not knowing anything about overclocking at all, would i get a noticeable difference fromfrom games etc by overclocking the cpu (i presume this would also have something to do with the FSB)

also isit easy to do as I havn't a clue in all honesty

ok ill give that a try, next thing how does the mark that you get, correspond on a poor to great scale is there such a thing and what would you consider a good mark?

ok so, I've just tried to install the coolbits option. it didn't bring anything new on the display properties. So I uninstalled all nvidia drivers with driver cleaner pro.

The installed the latest nvidia drivers 91.47 forceware. then installed the coolbits hack.

nothing again, am i doing something really stupid?

this is just the thing, i go right click on desktop> properties>settings>advanced and there is only general/adapter/monitor/troubleshoot/colour management/geforce 7900GT/GTO, of which the geforce 7900GT/GTO has got not a lot in it apart from a button that says start the NVIDIA control panel, which is to do with the nvidia drivers, but no coolbits part to it
