I decided to test out my 4870x2 which i beleive is faulty. i tested it with a core i7 oc to 3.3 not fully stable yet. with 9.8 W7 drivers.

This card seemed to be lacking on my old vista e8400 4 gb setup.

My 3D mark score is 22149 the card is not been oced.

I wanted to know if this score is a good normal score?

COD 5 seems to run very good aswell getting highs of 150 to 160 in places maxed out.

Res is 1600x1200

Seems right, i am getting 20k on a stock GTX275 with an i7 oced to 3.4ghz so.

Using Vista 64 bit premium and 190.38 drivers.

just compare it with similar systems after the test but all in all i would be happy with a score of 22,000.

My set up of 4870x2 (stock) 4gig ram random gigabyte mobo and a QX9650 @ 3.6ghz is 21k so yeah seems about right tbh.
9.8 drivers and W7 64bit

Cool so my card is good, for some reason though it crashes when running furmark, furmark seems to be buggy with the 4870x2.

Dunno about furmark, it was fine when I ran it a while back.

My pc did crash when I tried to run vantage but I had put that down to my cheapo mobo.

Sounds about right. I get 26K with mine thanks to lots of overclocking.
Furmark crashes 4800 series cards due to it overloading the VRM's or something.

4K extra must be loads of OC their lol, i need to oc the **** out of my 4870x2 its the asus tri fan and they got the voltage tuner so should be able to push it a lot.

Any other good programs to test gpu stablility?

Just to recap guys my processor is at 3.3 and 22k sounds right? what would i get at 2.66? roughly.

I would say 18K is ok...when I did mine and bearing in mind I didnt OC my GPU (4870X2) just the CPU at 4GHz (Core i7), I got 23K which I thought was not too bad really...

I have two 4870 in crossfire a C2D E6600 @3.3 and i got a score of 15,128 @ 1920 X 1200 do you guys run the test at default or do you adjust to your screen res ?

And is mine a bad score ?

With my cpu stock speed of 3 gig qx6800 my 4870 x2 runs 16700 3dmark06.When you start to over clock the 3dmark06 score will shoot up by thousands. My cpu is not as fast as the new quads and they can also clock much higher.Id say your score of 18k is correct but it can also score well over 20k depending on overclock so really is no indication of your gfx performance as 3dmark06 is so heavily cpu dependent.Vantage is a better indicator of your cards performance imo.

Ok i have never ran this test before so i do not know what is a good score.

Everything at stock my score was P15154.

Is this a good vantage score for stock? i will try it overclocked in few weeks when i get my new cpu cooler.
