OK, thanks guys - I thought it might be low - it was running at 670/830 so I will try over clocking it a bit and post back

I have overclocked the gpu as below and got 100 more 3dmark06 points - yipeeeeeeeeeee! Now 7410!

also, how did you overclock your gpu memory that much?

did you use heatsinks on graphics card memory?

Yes, overclock CPU through bios.

And I do have heatsinks on my vRAM, but I don;t think they do very much. If your card comes with Samsung chips (powercolor cards come with) you should be able to get to 1050-1100mhz....

thanks, how do i know if samsung? Pref without opening case?

Can some one run the FEAR performance test on 1600x1200 with everything on MAX (except soft shadows) with a 3850 pro 512mb but with better CPUs so I can see what possible bottleneck there is?

I used 4xFSAA in my test above and it looks very similar to your test at my gpu clocks (710/1658)

so I don't think the cpu is bottlenecking at this resolution (but the story might be different at a lower res...)

I would like to do this test with unreal 3 as that I guess is more cpu demanding than FEAR

At GPU clocks 810/1818 and max settings (including 4AA) only SS off

still only get 7600 approx in 3dmark06 even with these clocks
