3D Mark 06

Just a quick question, i just ran 3Dmark06 and the graphics side of things was grand, but when it came to the CPU tests the videos would only run at 0-2 FPS. Is this normal?

yes, cpus are not designed for that type of work. my [email protected] gives me about the same frames

No it isn't normal, how'd you get 2 FPS you freakin speed-demon, I get like 0.25

Well im running a clearly superior AMD chip

I saw 6fps but then straight back to 2

what exactly does this test do? I assume its something like rendering the screen using the CPU, which of course, its very slow at?

It renders all the video purely from the CPU, and yeah it munches the CPU. I hate how long that stupid flying boat thing takes on the CPU cycle, 1/2FPS makes it last aaaaaaaaaaaggggggggggeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssss! :mad:

But still I haven't used 3Dmark in years now, if you want a proper benchmark play a game, You can't play 3Dmark so who cares!
