When I run said software and end up on the online results screen, it always tells me that my physics score is below what would be expected for my hardware. Since this appears to be CPU dependent, is there any particular reason this would happen? I've had a browse on google but there doesn't seem to be any definitive answer.

i5 2500K running at 4.4GHz. I get a physics score of 8397 whereas they expect one of 9800, so it's a big gap.

Don't worry too much about it - their estimates seem to assume you're really pushing the clocks. I did some comparisons and couldn't find anything clocked as low (relatively) as mine.

Run Vantage and it should give you an honest indication of how you're performing.

No probs. I tried x86 mode today and nearly doubled my CPU score - it's now showing equal/better than estimated , so that's worth giving that a shot.

From the performance jump, either x64 comes with a massive performance hit or there's a bug with HT in x64 mode.

How would you go about running it in x86 mode? Not sure if that's a windows 7 function or a 3dmark one, but I am new to both. :p Curious that it makes such a big difference for you.
