Not sure if this should be in another thread, or it's ok to create one for this, so if its the former, sorry :p

Just rand 3D mark, and I think, for the first time ever, it managed to get through a run without my computer hanging up!
score i got is -
11178 3D Marks
5174 SM 2.0 score
5123 HDR/SM 3.0 score
2562 CPU Score

I'm running Asus p5n32 sli premium mobo, 8800 GTX SLI, x6800 processor and 2 gigs of corsair 6400 C4 ram (least I think it's C4) everything at stock speeds. Is that score ok for that hardware? or is something wrong?

erm something is definitely wrong. That's a terrible score for your setup. That score is about what my single 8800GTS got.

Are you sure SLI is working properly?

Damn, lol. you're right. Just checked and it was set to "do not use SLI configuration"
wow, I wonder if that'st eh reason i've actually had less crashes recently, lol.
thanks though. will just set it up and run it again :) (hopefully, still without a crash)

Setting it to single card mode wouldn't cause crashes. Sounds like the system isn't stable.

If you're running everything @ stock, your ram could be faulty, your power supply might not be adequate, or it could just be down to messed up drivers...

Just ran it. System hang :( Gonna try one more time. Maybe i'l get lucky, lol.

System isn't stable, you're right. Crashes happen quite frequently when running games. It's all down to drivers. Power supply is a Tagan 900W, so that should be enough. Ram is fine as well. Have run memtest and no problems there. Even got fed up and took it down to a computer shop and paid them 50 quid. They don't have much of an answer either :p

Each new BIOS and driver update, i hope it gets fixed, but no luck so far. Though have seen an improvement with the fact that earlier, ther were artifacts in some games after a little while, and then a crash. Now the artifacts have disappeared, lol. and Rise of Legends that used to crash within 5 minutes regardless, crashes more like other games, lol.

Latest ones. 163.71 I think. I update them as soon as they come out, lol. And bios version 0901.

Hung the second time as well. Funnily enough, at the exact same spot. A fair bit into the test, when the striped purplish/pinkish rectangular type thing is going on.

For win xp 32bit? or do you mean beta?

Temps are on the high side, usually one of them around 70 and the otehr around 60, idle. Though right now everest is reporting both them at 78. But I have no idea how to reduce the temps short of water cooling. And 've been told taht while high, they are within the range.

Have 2 akasa fans, one on the front and one on the back of the case. One side case fan blowing right on the cards and a zalman 9500 for the processor.

Also, there isn't any artifacting anymore. hasn't been there for many months now.

If your still having problems then try the latest chipset drivers from your motherboards website. A new bios too maybe? :).
