3D marks vantage poor score ?

Well I just OCd my GFX card 50mhz on core (linked shaders) and 50 on the mem and got 12111

Default CPL settings btw as usual.

Not bad, not bad at all.

Running the GFX card at x16 instead of x8 made zero difference.

GPU score is a little low it looks. I dont have the result saved but I'm sure I got 11k with my old GTX 260.

Me and my mate were comparing scores on 3dMark06 earlier. He just got a new i7 920 rig and a GTX275, versus my Q6600 and 8800GTX, there was only 1000 points in it (13000 for me and 14000 for him) However, when we ran 3dMark Vantage he was still making 14000 and my score was all the way down to 8500 :(

So yea, try vantage for a real reflection of those GTX cards.

He only got 14,000 on 3dmark06 with a gtx 275?

I'm getting 19,000+

The fastest system on the ORB gets just over 40K and that's a quad SLI system, mine is a single card getting 12k - as with most other peeps here getting similar score so our scores are nigh on perfect :p

14k is fine for a single 280, SLI 280s in the rig in my sig gave me
Graphics Score 18417 and P21221 3DMarks on actual default settings (just plugged them in, enabled SLI and rebooted, this was with the physx driver installed). Hell, a single 295 only gave me a Graphics Score of 16374 before i played with any settings. All of these tests were at stock btw.
