3D monitor questions

1) I haven't use the PC 3D tech, so I can't give you direct advice on this. However, quite a few on these forums have this tech and the opinions vary considerably. Some love it and think its the best things since sliced bread, while others really didn't like it and returned/sold the kit very swiftly. Due to the large expense and the other good monitor options (like IPS) then I would strongly suggest you find a shop or friend that has a 3D gaming system that you can test out yourself before you put you money down.
2) This will definitely not work - it is a different tech, and is incompatible. I believe you need to rely on 3rd party tech with AMD cards - things like iz3d and trimon.
