Hello, been thinking about getting a new monitor, have a dell 2407 (1920x1200) at the moment, and I don't think I want to drop down to 1080? But I've been considering a 3D 120hz monitor (which are all 1080?), but that would have to be 24" or below or the PPI would be too low for me I think, the alternative would be a 27" 2560x1440, But that would require more powering of course...

Usually play the single player games, but do dabble with the usual FPS games in between.

So I'm looking for opinions... 3D or high res?

It comes down to what your going to be using the monitor for the most really.

Gaming, 120hz 3D is going to win the vote.

But for anything else the higher res screen and better colour production is what you should be after.

Well I will be gaming on it, rather than any photo type work to warrent those kind of features, but I do like all the extra "screen estate" from the higher res....

I suppose I want a 120hz high res monitor lol, but they don't exist huh, And I would have to spend more money on graphics cards aswell haha
