I have just about stopped myself falling down a rabbit hole I think. I was about to pull the trigger on a creality hi but I've decided I don't have the space or time for a new hobby right now so I wondered if anyone would be willing to print some covers for my GPU for some beer tokens?

It's Palit RTX 5070 Ti this card has the ability to let you print 3d covers which you can customise. I quite fancy giving it a go (probably just to paint white TBH)

There's a front part and back part available on Palit maker.

Just wondered if anyone here would be willing to assist
Thanks
Scott

Bear in mind that for most people they will have to use the 2 part version for the covers which you would need to glue together (unless they have an XL printer.) Not sure how that would look.

Would probably need a smooth build plate too as it's a cosmetic piece. I have neither an XL or a smooth build plate :D

Printing it face down could give you a nice carbon effect if you have the appropriate bed plate.

I gave it a try more out of curiosity than anything but the details on it get a bit lost and some of the overhangs didn't print very well. More supports might help but I think it's better to be printed on a resin printer.

But normal resin used for miniatures and figurines etc loses it's rigidity over 50C so it would probably need a specific higher temp resin too. You might be OK as I guess the cover may not get much hotter than that and it would only deform if any force is actually applied to it like someone pressing on it. Resin is a lot more difficult and time consuming though so I'm not going to try that.

Wow thanks for trying! I'm not overly concerned about the finish TBH it's not something I'll be overly close to once it's installed. I was even considering doing one of the plain designs which are supposed to be a base for customising..
