I don't have a 3D printer but I am wanting to make a small project that includes 3D printed parts. I've found a tutorial online that has the 3D print plans/files and I was wondering if there are any options for someone printing a few small pieces for a small project?

Many thanks.

I have only just got a printer, but having good results so far, happy to give it a go (depending on what it is) for the price of filament+postage

I didn't know they did silver filament to be honest, I was assuming I was going to have to spray it silver. If you think its something you can assist with I can send you a roll from Amazon if you drop me a DM

Filling, sanding and spraying will give you a better finish in any case, depends on how good you want it to look up close.

These aren’t a few small pieces, it’s a 21 hour print at 347g of filament. I know that includes the keypad as well but the majority of the print will be the time circuit enclosure. Anyone doing this as a print service, you will be looking to pay ~£50 - £70. Hopefully you can find someone willing to do it as a favour. If they don’t charge you for time, power and making a reasonable profit (it’s a business at end of the day) it should cost you no more than £10

Thanks for you message and yes "small" may not be appropriate to describe the project! I missed the 21 hour print time too!

I've had a look at the possibility of buying a 3D printer but not sure on the size Id need. The dimensions of the time circuits are 215.9mm wide and from a quick Google it appears that the Bambu Lab A1 mini max print size is 180mm. Would I need the full size A1 which is 256mm print size? Probably pushing the budget sadly if so!

This looks like an interesting project. Have you got found sources for the electronics to go with it. The printables model links to a website advertising the electronics for $230 and they're out of stock. It does seem the software is available if you can find the other components.

I had a quick look and between RS components and CPC you could source the bulk of the parts. There is Mouser and Ebay too so should hopefully be ok to get everything.
