Hopefully someone can help me. I have an ender pro 5 which was working perfectly up until i didn’t use it for 6 months, now when I try to print if it eventually sticks to the bed the finished piece is so weak when I try to get it off the bed the layers separate and it just collapses. I have fitted a new nozzle and extruder and have tried different pla but still no use . Any ideas please

I am having trouble uploading a photo here. Seems I have to upload somewhere else then supply a link. May take a while as I am new to this

ok cool, ender 5 pro, looks like you've not got a BL touch though?
it looks like the prints are sticking to your bed, so I would suggest it's too close to the nozzle, should have the thickness of a bit of paper at 0 rather than actually 0.
check your slicer speeds, set them to default as I think those lines (ringing) could be due to too much speed. should be below 80mm/s for internal and 40mm/s external until you know how to tune it.

Are you running everything stock? any modifications?

Thanks for your reply.
The prints are not sticking to the bed unless i apply pritt stick first , that is the white residue in the photo. I have been checking bed height before every print with paper as you mentioned. Also the pipe clips in the photos came out perfect 6 months ago and no settings have been changed and everything is stock. Could this be a heat issue ?. Printer says 200 extruder bed 60 degrees.
Thanks again. Also extruder gear and boden tube and nozzle are new and have been checked for blockages.

I've found getting the print to adhere is very dependand on setting your first layer gap, bed temperature and print speed.

Those are the things you need to check and play around with to get it to adhere properly.

Also, check your bed is perfectly clean. There may be residue left over from using glue for previous prints.

Yes I do need glue for the old prints . The problems started with nothing sticking to the bed and now I glue them but the finished parts are just coming apart.

I've never needed glue for PLA. Even PETG I managed to get to adhere easily once I got the bed hot enough.

Is the bed getting hot?
Kind of what I was getting at. Not familiar with the Ender 5 Pro, but do have a 3 Pro, and used glue. Any times I had problems with the first layer, it was due to the bed not being level and/or the z offset not being correct.

I personally would focus on a first layer without glue, and then go from there.

I have been levelling the bed before every print using the paper method and the bed is still level. I am trying old print files because I have used them many times before with no problems. I have not changed any settings because I have never needed to in the past . The glue solved the problem with the first layer sticking to the bed but since then the prints have deteriorated so badly that they just perish when I touch them so I fear whatever was causing the sticking problem has worsened and now is affecting the prints . I have been on so many websites looking for a solution and that is why I replaced the nozzle and extruder gear set and boden tube but no difference. Next step is to find a repair shop I guess. Thanks to all replies
