Hi all, currently making a Biped female, with a limit of 3000 Tri Polys, this is my first time and I am unsure of a few things, but my main problem is currently getting the joins to look correct, my sholder, and waist areas look weird, is there anything I can do?

google for tutorials on modelling people.

there are tons out there and are all pretty decent.

p.s. using two "blueprint" images can be useful. a front and side on photo of a person, applied to planes and aligned so you can line up your mesh. again lots of tutorials out there explaining this. other then that, just keep practicing. i usually end up making something, going back and deleting it and re-doing the whole thing. sometimes this process is repeated 3-4 times!

If you're worried about any modelling issues with a character do a Google search for "Joan of Arc Modelling Tutorial", it's by far the best one out there and will sort all your problems.

Hey thanks for the advice guys, the tutorials have helped quite a bit! Here is what I have now:

Im just not sure if it looks quite right, or if it will work for animation purpose, I have modified the Joan of Arc tutorial into a low polygon method, as turbosmooth turns my 2000 tri poly model into a 9000 one!
