3Dmark Vantage Crashing

I dug out my old ROG rampage extreme 4 disc which has 3Dmark vantage included. installed it fine runs fine until i get to the cpu test after the 2nd spaceship graphics test . but then turned off the 2nd graphics test and just did the first graphics and then the 2 cpu tests and crashes after the 1st cpu test after 1 graphics test .

so no matter what i do it crashes after any 2 tests .

i even changed to wondows 7 basic got latest version . i cant add the vantage to my account unless i post a score .

what can i do ?

getting system information is fine too as it does this no problem .

Sounds like your CPU/RAM overclock is not stable, try lowering it a bit to get through the tests.

Thanks Kaap , im running 4,5ghz on all 6 cores so will downclock it to stock 3.5ghz .

just tested it with everything at stock and still crashes after first 2 graphics tests . i cant register this product on an account unless i have a score .

If you have the advanced version of Vantage you can do a custom run with just the GPU tests. This will give a score but it won't count for anything but maybe it will be enough to get you registered.

Try setting your ram to 1333mhz and see if this works..

As my 1600mhz Corsair ram was causing my system to crash after I upgraded from 8Gb (x2 4GB memorysticks) to 16GB (x4 4GB memorysticks)

yes its the advanced edition and will try a custom run .

keeps hanging after 2 tests .

i just want to post scores and compare for when i get my new system.

I was going to purchase the latest version of 3Dmark but not after this .

I have ran the latest demo along with the 2011 demo and all run fine .

for some reason in heaven 4.0 bench when i untick Vsync the app crashes too . heaven 1.0, 2.0 , 2,5 are fine as vsync is not ticked on these .

I dont have that update Kaap , i dont have auto updates on and its not there to download either . i do have 46 updates but have not updated and not there .
