when runing 3dmark06 i see that the setting in the nvidia control panel affect the score what should it be set to application controled or an other setting

one more question i have a intel duo 6400 2.13 2gb ocz reaper ram, 8800gtx and am running vista 32bit and am only getting a score of 11408 i think this is a low score
is my cpu slowing it down or vista when i run the test my cpu only scores 2300 ish is that bad

Your score is great...you can up it a lot more by overclocking though. You should put your e6400 at least to 3.0 ghz

And setting the nvidia control panel to performance optimized should give you a slightly higher score.

jonathan may=sorry forgot to mention cpu is overclocked to 3.10
how come people with 8800gts can score 13,000

They will be running a quad core CPU which will give a significantly higher score than a two core. Just for reference, my e6600 clocked at 3.6Ghz scores 3100 in 06 so thats a good 800 points over you score.
