Where exactly is it in the dock. Is it the sunken down hole thing?

Mines pink but I can tell you its not been wet. Might have had it in the bag on a rainy day but never out. I need to take it in tonight as the headphone jack is stuck in the phone but I know they'll screw me out over this stupid pink pad..

What do'ya think?

It is indeed that little tiny dot, there's also one in the headphone jack and I think one inside somewhere too.

Welcome to the world of the over-sensitive immersion indicators that now means you have no warranty left. Happened to me on my 3G and they refused to replace it (for that famous case crack) because I'd apparently got it wet.

thats what I am originally going in for! Bloody case crack and now stuck headphone pin!

So what happens if Apple say "no" yet you've never gotten it wet? Is there nothing you can do?

Makes me really worried about my iP4 now. :(

The moisture issue is relevant to problems potentially caused by moisture. Given that your issue appears to be mechanical vs electronic, it seems a bit datf that they would argue the "pink menace".

There have been cases where one sensor is pink, but others are not and this has not invalidated anything. Definnitely worth a try.

Also note they have to inspect all of the moisture sensors not just the one. That's the reason for having three I believe.

So I got back and they replaced it for a new one under warranty. They said they wouldnt of done anything about the stuck headphone jack but becuause it was cracked on the back they would.

He did a thorough look at both ports with a shinny dentist like tool with a light on so its a damn good job I tip ex the water sensor with a saringe and needle! phew!

They did that when i took my 1 day old iPhone 4 back. I did wonder what he was doing and how that would diagnose the cause of the problem!

That actually worked!? I only suggested it as a joke. lol

When I was out in NYC a couple of months ago I came back absolutely hammered from a big night out and promptly threw my iPhone 4 down the hotel loo.

So, thinks I, Apple Store open at 5:00am? Oh Yes. No queue? Who goes to Genius Bar at 5:00am?

They warranty swapped me a new phone and unlocked it. Even though I'd told them I'd thrown it in the loo. I suspect they may have just been trying to get me out of the door

Those spirally glass stairs are a mofo after 10 hours on the beer.
