3GS or 4?

Looking at getting an iPhone, which would you go for the old 3GS or the 4?

Can't see much benefit for me apart from the 4th one being the latest ;P

4 is infinitely more sexy, better camera, far better screen, quite a bit faster.

3gs is cheaper but loses on pretty much every front, as it should being an older model.

TLDR got for the 3gs on a budget but you'll probably pine after the 4 unless you're of stronger stuff than me which is possible!

Your stupid if you dont get iPhone 4, the screen is new technology, its got an uprated camera, the build quality is better, quite a bit more tough too.

Also the styling is better.

Nothing else to say really.

4 is a massive improvement over the 3GS. It's a no brainer.

I think even taking this into account it's still a no brainer to get the iPhone4!

If you're going to take out a contract on one then the IP4 without doubt.

Then again even if you're buying out right the saving on going for a 3GS over a 4 isn't massive.

Looks better (in my opinion, of course). Better made. Much faster. Much higher res screen. Much better camera. Better video recording.

I had the same dilemma a week back. The jump from 3G to 4 was pretty big. Loving it so far, the quickness and overall style of the phone is incredible.

Can only echo the above, the iphone 4 is an incredible phone and a definate step up from the 3gs.

Worth it for the screen alone.

Get the 4, I got the 3GS last Christmas and I've had to contain the nerd-envy not to upgrade, only succeeding because my contract runs out in June, which means I'll be first in line for an iPhone 5!

The screen on the 4 is enough of a reason. Plus the build quality of it looks and feels great.

You would be an absolute idiot to get the 3Gs now.

iOS4.2.1 shows that Apple is slowly reducing support for it.
