3rd 970 or console ?

what about watercooling your pc? since you like benching, ok it might cost a bit more than 250 if you are going to watercool the 2 970's but you can watercool them at a later date

im sure i was told somewhere new consoles are coming sooner rather than later
now might not be the best time to buy one
i could be wrong tho so ><

Wii U should be the only console to consider if you have a gaming pc in my opinion. It's the only one where you'll gets loads of games that you'll never see on the pc, screw that ps4/xbone exclusive crap!

Or how about a htpc if you want it mostly for media? Cheaper and simply way better if it's for media.

I wouldn't be surprised given developers are already having to compromise on performance, new console not being able to even do 1080p at 30fps for some games is terrible :/

Imo its either a higher res monitor (4k) or PS4.

Had an eggbox 1 and it was a disaster. Apart from Forza every tittle is better on the ps4. Im not biast towards either i go for value for money and performance, however both consoles came out too early especiay the ps4. A total lack of tittles and devs are still miles off using it to capacity.

Save your money and go on a nice break with the mrs imo.

PS4.

Having a console can nicely compliment your PC. I've always had a Playstation since th first one came out. Would never be without one.

My favourite games - allbeit some are multiplatform - have been on the Playstation. If you can have both then win win.

I'd go for console, and XBox if you're more interested in the media aspect.

The XBox One holds the distinct advantage over the PS4 from a media standpoint, as it now supports DLNA streaming.

Big plus for me , I did have a PS3 solely for this and GTA V , pity as the de facto media console for most was the PS3 . How the tables turn!

Have one but I want something different. One of the reasons my PS3 went the way of the dodo was due to HTPC build. And it's media in the broadest aspect of terms .

So you bought a HTPC to replace a PS3, now you want something different to replace the HTPC

You don't know whether to add a third GTX 970 to your two 970's or buy a console.

1st world problems here folks :p

PS4 or Wii U. Simples.

it wouldn't replace the HTPC just compliment it , besides the HTPC is in the bedroom , the Xbox will no doubt sit in the living room or be moved to the office when I fancy a quiet session.

Had a wii u , really diddnt know why I bought it tbh , great little machine but lacks a library that would please me and little in the way of any other use

3 970 is not very useful and you may get a lot of coil whine... I got myself a PS4 just to diversify the game library (even if I have to say that PSN is nothing compare to Steam).
