Hello there.
Some time in September I was stationary on a main road with a side road on my left. A person drove out of the sideroad and hit the left side of my car. The guy kept saying it was my fault, we swapped details and I rang his insurance company and my car was repaired. As the person I spoke to at his insurer said they had advised him to take it as a fault claim, I assumed this was all taken care of and nothing else would happen.
I got a phone call today from the accident management company that sorted everything out, saying that the guy who crashed in to me is now denying fault. I said to the lady on the phone that unless he is lying through his teeth I can't see it going his way, and she said that his version of events doesn't really make sense when compared with the statement taken at the time.
I'm not too worried as the guy was a complete idiot and seemed to think that shouting was going to fix the problem. The only damage to his car was a cracked number plate! If he had been civil I would have simply let him pay for the damage, I guess he's now peeved about losing no claims and that must make insuring an evo 5 in a dodgy area difficult.
Has anyone been in a similar situation to this?
