Behind you... Naked!
I understand that drives >2TB need to be GTP not MBR. Fine.

I have been using this 3TB drive for a while alongside an SSD that I have been using to boot from.

I want to only use the 3TB

Ok, here is my problem.

If I try installing Windows ( I wanted to throw 8.1 onto this ) then no matter what I do, I fail.

In legacy mode, I cannot get it to boot with ANY device, but in EUFI mode, while it does boot, and go through the stuff, when I try creating a partition to chuck Windows on, it converts the disk back to MBR.

It creates the 350MB System Partion, and then I want a 60GB Windows partition, but I instantly see that it goes to 2TB of unformatted space and another 700GB too that I wont be able to access.

I killed off the partition info and I used the Windows install on the SSD to then wipe teh drive but make it a GTP and it simply wont stay as a GTP?

The Motherboard I am using for the Media Center, is a Gigabyte 970A-DS3, latest BIOS, and I want my own 4 partitions, C=60, D=1000, E:=1300 and F=Whats left. Plus the system partition or partitions, but I have simply never been able to do it without putting Windows onto the SSD and then sorting the 3TB while in windows afterwards!

Anyone know why I am such a duche?

Create the 60GB windows partition, install windows on to it, then deal with setting up the other partitions after windows is installed is how you should do it.
