3tb hard disk support ?

Which motherboards can fully support a booting 3tb hard disk without having to resort to using a Advanced Host Controller Interface ?

Pretty sure that most boards with UEFI support 2.2tb+ sizes now but you would have to check the specs, as AHCI seems like the standard thing now because of SSD's and the like.

UEFI automatically supports 3TB hard drives, i dont know if a 3TB would work without AHCI mode maybe someone can comfirm this? but to get the full speed benefits and storage capacity AHCI is reccomended!

Built in AHCI is fine.

I just wanted to avoid having to install an standalone ACHI adapter in order to save space.
