Trying to setup a raid0 for just now but the array manager cant detect my drives. Ive checked the drives on standard mobo ports to confirm the drives are working and have power. I can get into the raid utility but the array manager displays no drives.

Im using 2x WD RE2's 750, and the card uses a multilane miniSAS to sata cable, which is brand new. I only have the one cable so I cant even swap it out to check it.

Ive checked other hdd's on the card, 2 and 4 drives but nothing. Ive tried the raid card in 2 pci-e slots, just incase but the same happens.

Motherboard is a EVGA 680i SLI, Ive yet to update firmware on both the mobo and raid card, so im hoping this will fix the problem.

Any ideas? maybe ive missed something...

Do the drives spin up OK when connected to the 3Ware card?

The cable is the obvious suspect at the moment simply because other than the card itself it's the only thing you haven't tested independently. I'm guessing that it's not going to be cheap to test though so BIOS flashing sounds a sensible next move.

Yeah the drives spin up fine when connected to the raid controller. Ive updated the firmware on both the motherboard and raid controller but the same is happening. I'll contact the company about the cable, I hope its the cable and not the actual controller
