Hi a kind of odd question but here goes > i wish to run 4.3 games on my 22 wide screen but no matter what res i configure the screen it auto scales which is what i do not want i would rather have 2 black borders, is there a way i can achieve this ?

my card is a 8800 gts 640.

The reason i wish todo such a thing is because of an old game i wish to play and dislike the way the screen auto streches the screen.

There will be a setting in Nvidia Control panel for scaling. Set it to "No Scaling".

Also, make sure that your panel is set to not upscale.

Yep what he said. Another thing is many slightly older games have simple patches/fixes to allow them to run in widescreen resolustions. Might be worth having a quick google

Yep, sorry meant to add that in many older games yiou can add to the shortcut to the executable file a string that will set a custom resolution. I do this with Sim City 4.
