4 computers on a router, how much each use?

Basicaly, i wonder if it's at all possible...

I got 1 internet connection in the house, 4 PCs are connected, 2 via wireless

Is it possible to see how much each computer is downloading?

my limit keeps being reached each month so i have to keep paying a premium, i dont know if its "all me" or not

does your isp not have a way to monitor usage online? i think any isp with a capped product should offer that. it's not fair on the end user to expect them to keep track. especially if you have consoles/multiple machines to keep tracks of.

if you're running windows, you can install netmeter on each machine. it runs all the time in the background keeping track.

if your router supports a service called SNMP, i think you can also monitor usage through that - but i think it requires one pc to be left on 24/7 to monitor it. maybe tolien can help out with this.

I check my ISPs Usage every day, but it does "all of the 4 computers" and it updates every 24 hours
I need to (without installing on each machine) kep a track of each IP, i guess from the router somehow?

Yup.

Unless the router gives you some sort of statistics (some will give numbers/graphs within the web or telnet interface, but don't do SNMP), there's no way to monitor each machine's usage without installing something on them. Mentioning what router you're using might be useful though...

ok, the isp monitoring doesn't help you out with individual statistics, but at least you should be able to keep track to stop yourself going over the limit. is there another tariff with a higher allowance you can move to? and is this 4 seperate people with these machines then? are you splitting the bill? surely each person must have a rough idea with what they download?

another thing, is your wireless network definitely secure? you're using wpa/wpa2 and not wep?
