4 gig of ram not working/booting.

i have 4 gig of OCZ PC2-8500C5 1066MHz SLI-Ready Edition Dual Channel DDR2, which used to work fine. But recently it wouldn't boot up and i'd have to mess with the ram, unplug put it back in , push it in and so on.

Now it wont work at all, it will only work/boot with 2 gig of ram.

My specs are e8650 @ 4 ghz, p5n32 sli-plus mobo, 260 gtx sli.

Any one got any ideas.

Firstly, check the RAM voltage in the BIOS, 4 sticks tend to need a little more than 2.

If that doesn't work, time to run memtest.

i use 2.1 atm i think the highest i can go on the ram is 2.4 i will give it a try.

Shouldn't need to go more than 0.2v above what is stated on the RAM or in the SPD.
