As per title I'm looking for 4 or 5 Bay 3'5" Hard Drive USB3.0 Enclosure, doesn't have to be RAID. Any recommendations please :)

ICYBOX/RAIDSONIC have always been a fav of mine, also rebadged for Sabrent too I think, have a look at the following model numbers

Sabrent DS-SC4B
Sabrent DS-SC5B

IcyBox IB-3805-C31

and if you want a little bigger.....

IcyBox IB-3810u3
IcyBox IB-3810-C31

Although I've had no issue with the single bay raidsonic/icybox stuff I've had I have seen reports that the multibay ones have had some issues.

As to the OP, I've been looking at the same type of thing recently (consolidate all my external into one jbod) and I've basically narrowed down to two options, the USB based option or a 4/5 bay NAS with JBOD support (qnap/synology etc).

First port of call for usb was obviously raidsonic/icybox but went off them due to seeing comments about failures/issues.

I've seen some positive comments about orico, sonnics (both basically look the same in all honesty, but sonnics slightly cheaper) and yottabox, which seem to have a range of options but tbh they're pretty 'new' brand. Having said that I'd put money on the internal hardware being the same on all of them (including raidsonic) and the only difference being the price, 'box' and branding lol

There's also silverstone who I've always had good experiences with although no 5 bay :(

do you have any handy links to the failure issues you mentioned, could be handy to know if it's related to specific models.

I have an orico m.2 external enclosure, and so far its been ok, is a flexible design being suitable for both nvme and sata m.2 drives, but, i've also seen some concerns about build quality for what i bought but mine is fine.
I suspect you're right about the OEM for a number of them being the same!

not that I can remember, it's just one of those things you pick up on when reading reviews etc. Like I said my experience on my single drive ones has been fine and it's entirely possible that the failures are within normal rates and it's just a case of people complaining more when something is 'negative'.

TBH I've got some random brand stuff in my 'collection' of drives, I bought a random ugreen 2.5inch caddy (pretty much cheapest one out there) for an old ssd I had laying around and it works fine so I don't think it's necessary to think unheard of brands as being bad.

IIRC asrock were seen as pretty low end motherboards etc at one point and just look at their reputation etc now.

no worries, i'll keep my eyes open, my 2 bay usb 2.0 model has been fine, it's cooling fan is getting a bit noisy, but i could swap that out, i especially like the tool-less tray load design
