4-Way SLI anyone?

I like the idea of 4way SLI but only with 285gtxs nah not for me. If it was with cheaper cards like 250 or 260 that would be fine, more affordable.
But if i had the money, i would max this beast out and try and find away to make this lag.
Which probably means borrowing a cinema for a day and running the top graphic games on full graphics and highest resolution the games can run in HD just to find out if 4 way SLI can be beaten.

Pretty sure Cinema projectors are not digital - still using film tape to get the better definition.
Anyone willing to get 4 cards is going to be getting the best cards anyway. It simply isnt aimed at people who will get one 250/260, then add another when they can, and another, and another. And if you are wanting to see if 4way SLI can be beaten then theres no point doing it with midrange cards, it would mean nothing. Might aswell go for 8800GT's.

i was mean trying to beat it with the highest cards it can support :P

As it is I dont think there are any games that can actually support 4 GPUs ? Quad SLI has been around for a while but so few people use it that it just isnt worth game developers putting time and effort into it.

ah i see where your going now. Yeah i understand in the game company point of view that they cant be bothered editing the game just for a few people to use all of there power. But still it would be pretty cool to see a game like farcry 2 crysis 2 and RF:G all at ludicrous high settings with 3D vision!

Cards for 2-way SLI have 1 SLI slot. Cards for 3-way SLI have 2 SLI slots. How many SLI slots should have cards for 4-way SLI ? ;-)
It was a matter of time when 4-way SLI would be released as old 780FX mobos have had support for 4 ATI cards. But I'm not pretty sure if everything is working properly (SLI bridge, drivers, software)... Looks like DX and/or drivers needs to be reworked for multi-GPU native code, otherwise they will remain as neverending prosthesis.
D'oh, I've found that since 185.xx drivers there's no need to use SLI bridge. This costs the performance - I presume in higher resolutions (I've tried no SLI bridge in my previous x8x8 750a rig - no difference in games).
