40"+ HD TV Needed

I must confess im a bit of a TV n00b.

Im looking for something 40"+, pref FULL HD so 1080P, it will be used for xbox360 + sky+ (not hd at present, maybe in the future) will be a long term purchase, in the sense i wont be uprading again anytime soon.

Looking to spend £1000-1400 however, thats where the problem lies.

I was gonna get a Samsung R73/74 Series 40" but im thinking 1080p would be a better step

I say it in every one of these threads Sony Bravia X or W models.

Best TVs on the market.

then save the little bit more. I'm not kidding this tv is a cut above the rest. When I get the money together (in about 20 years at this current rate.) I will be getting one.

I'm sure you can get a W for about 1500.

I think I'll be putting my money on the KDL40W2000 as well when the time comes... hopefully march when we move into our new home.

Fingers crossed the prices drop as well
