40' lcd monitor and a ati 9550 :S

Not talking about that, he just wants 1920x1080P @ 60hz to be working on the desktop.

do you think it could be a graphics card problem?....

It does seem people do have problems with LCD TV's, it's not just ATI but Nvidia, and even people with identical cards - some work, some don't. Luckily on both Nvidia 6150, ATI X300 and ATI X1900XT, with two LCD TV's (Sharp and Samsung) work fine after fiddling with the settings on the card/TV. Others haven't been so lucky.

Does your card have DVI out? On that there is a slider (1900XT) however on the 300XT there is no slider, yet it's displaying correctly.

erm on the card it does yeah but Im connected via vga...

does your gcard display manager show your tv make and model? mine just says "not supported"...

No need to use powerstrip, on the three videocards or the three LCD TV's - one 1366x768 and two 1080p.

In ATI CCC or Omega drivers it reports the display as "Samsung" using DVI-HDMI, input #2

Doesnt the TV have auto sync? No matter what manual settings I use I always get the pircute off the side but if I use auto it sorts it out.
