40 squids PSU

i'm sure i can scrape together a few extra pence for the be quiet 530w. thread closed or are there any other contenders?

it's for a pretty old pc so i'm looking to spend as little as possible.

Saves you 4 squids. Not really a massive choice of budget PSUs on overclockers.

CM elite 500w
and
Corsair 430W

Are you only other real options, however not much point going for the Corsair as it's the same price as the OCZ and the CM has slightly lower efficiency and not quite as good voltage regulation.

I'd take the BeQuiet over them.

More PCI-E connectors, better amperage on 12v rail, better reviews and very very quiet. As of yet I've never actually heard my PSU xD

usually I'd suggest the BeQuiet, however he wanted a cheaper option and he doesn't actually need the extra PCIE 6 pin.

I was considering the BeQuiet 530W as well, seems like a good PSU for the cash. Only drawback is the 2 year warranty (most PSUs are 3 or 5), and being "new" there's no feedback on reliability or RMA (ie does it need to be sent back to Germany??).

Anyone had one long enough to comment on reliability, or had to RMA one?

RMA to OcUK, or one of their bases in the UK

Mine has been running fine and near silent (I measured around 8dBa whilst gaming

) for over a month now - not long I know, but I've only had it that long xD
