Hi guys, want to upgrade my current system.. any suggestions on what i could get? I want to get quite a nice jump in performance if possible

Current Specs:
Videocard: Geforce GTX 280
Processor: Intel Core Q6600 3.20Ghz
Mainboard: abit IX38 QuadGT
Memory: Corsair 2GB x 2 XMS2 (800Mhz)
Soundcard: Sound blaster X-Fi
PSU: Corsair TX 650W

Thanks so much guys.

Wouldn't really bother as I doubt you have problems playing anything other than Crysis or the flawed GTA IV.

If you need some new toys for a boost, I'd go with these.

At time of post, the OcUK water cool bundle is out of stock. If you bought that CPU, under water you would be looking at 4GHz, the RAM will also give you a small performance boost for a reasonable £60.

Is there anything i should know about watercooling? Never used it, do i just leave it running and forget about it? Is there ways to decrease the temps for when im lowering voltages?

What can't it do? It can't overclock to save its own life.... im running at 3.2GZ at JUST UNDER 1.5V on air cooling.

So i was thinking maybe a new motherboard and processor would sort that out.

I wouldn't bother upgrading, just do what PwnDirect said and wait for the new generation of chips to drop in price a bit. I'm still using an E6600, 680i board, 4x1Gb 800mhz RAM, and an 8800GTS 640mb and I'm not going to upgrade until probably February of next year when Empire Total War comes out. Unless there is something your system can't do that you want it to I would leave it as it is. Regarding the overclocking, would buying a new motherboard and possibly a new CPU really be worth all that cash for just another 400-600mhz overclock?!
