without a monitor, what could you spec with that budget?
it doesnt have to be the most expensive thing for every component, just the best
my friend who asked me for this will be playing at 1920x1200 and has no intention in overclocking on his own. just good fps on max graphics.

well i have a friend who wants the best of the best
specs in snapshots or texts would be appreceated.
he doesnt overclock (if its not overclocked at star that is)

Best of the best doesn't involve £4K,
get a killer machine for 1.5K, and update parts of it each year for the next 3 years for the other 2.5K and maintain it as a killer machine for 5 years.

Right, as i dont think this is completely serious, ive missed out many watercooling fittings etc. but you get the idea. Also if you dont want the gpus to fry get 3 gpu blocks plus another rad and a second pump for different loop.

Why am i even doing this??? :D

Forgot to add a storage drive!! Those ssds are intended for raid 0!!

That money would get you a single core, integrated graphics system if it were a mac!

If he doesn't overclock and isn't building / EVEN CHOOSING the system himself he wont appreciate the value or performance of any of the components.

If this is serious just get one of the OCUK prebuilts, tell him it cost £4k, he wont know the difference.

....troll.

A 4k build without a very specific objective in mind is unwise. It would be easy enough to hit or exceed this budget for a workstation, for a gaming machine it's a very poor use of funds. As you haven't said what the machine is intended for I think you're trolling.

Another vote for ban.

+ Custom liquid cooling, which i forgot to add when speccing.

Edit: tbh, id just air cool, or use the corsair all in one thing.
