ive just bought a new hard drive which is Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 11 400GB 6H400F0 SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM
my motherboard is a EVGA nForce 680 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2
when i try to install windows xp i install the seriel ATA (150/300)Raid drivers that come with the motherboard on a floppy, bios finds the hard drive as 400gb but when i try to load up windows i get the blue screen of death everytime saying un-mountable_ boot_ volume stop

If i install windows without raid drivers everything works fine apart from my hard drive is only reconised as 127gb.
is this a faulty hard drive in anyway or me not doing something right.
