Why would you buy something that has coil whine and melts?

You know what the good thing that has come out of this now ? Scalpers can't sell them as people now are aware they have zero warranty with a product that has the ability for spontaneous combustion or melt like a scene from Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark ...

Buy now so I can laugh my head off when the power connector melts and the coil whine starts to annoy you. I already had a good laugh at the other thread.

While we're on the subject, dont wait 2 years and buy a 5000 series on release day either because it could have other problems. Wait 3 months for the issues to be discovered and fixed. Nvidia are spending a LOT of resourses on fault finding the 4090 issues as I type this.

Just a note guys, coil whine has been around since time began, been on a lot of gpu's for the last 10 years or so, some have it some don't, but i am hoping nvidia gives everyone that has a 4090, a new design connector cable for free, so we aint all got to buy a third party one, or give us a way so we can buy from cablemod and get some sort of rebate from nvidia.

if you have spare cash and can buy at original MSRP, now. meltgate affects 0.001% and a better cable will cure it for all anyway.
the upgrade over 3000 series is significant.
