FE has been described as "limited" in Nvidia's own videos on youtube. We don't know stock levels yet, though they could be gone within minutes and not replenished for weeks if ever.

I'm most likely going to just order the card I want from OCUK and wait for it to arrive, even if it means I don't get a card on launch day. Not in as much as a rush as with the 3000 series, when I really needed a hdmi 2.1 card for my CX48 OLED.
ofc they will say its lmited and put stock up slowly to make it look like there is a lot of dmand and to make fools throw their money at them faster for fear of "missing out"

I'll hold out for the EVGA cards

Man I’m still torn between the zotac anmp and the msi suprim x. I honestly think these are all going to sell out in mins, so if I go for an FE I might miss one of these.
I’ve heard mixed things about both, from zotac can often have coilwine to msi isn’t great to deal with.

Ahhh man, just over 24 hours to decide lol.
Why the rush?
You have a 3090, do you need a 4090 on launch day? no.

Coil-whine is such an experience ruiner... id want to wait to really find out which cards suffer worst from it.

Is there any game your struggling to play right now? That you absolutely cant turn a setting down on ?

There is nothing else that would improve your gaming experience more for that £1700 - 2200? Maybe a 4080 16G will be enough? Or an AMD RDNA3 card?

Oh they will.
They did last time.
Yeah, but last time the RTX 3080 was a very good price for the level of performance. IMHO better value than even the 3070, as normally prices go up exponentially for small gains, but between those two models it was a huge jump in performance and the price increase wasn't huge. I got my RTX 3080 10Gb a few weeks after launch (bought from here). I wouldn't buy a GPU from here again though, given how OCUK handled it with 3000 series.

Just been watching some of the reviews for RTX4090. On average it's 60~80% faster than a 3090 @ 4k. (not factoring frame generation or DLSS)
1440p performance is CPU bottlenecked so unless you are playing high refresh rate 4k I wouldn't buy one.

I'll be seriously surprised if they did sell out especially with the state of the economy right now.

It'll probably sell out because there will be hardly any stock of them right now, rather than them being in high demand.

Going from the reviews I expect most of the demand going to the FE edition since the cooler seems to be okay now.

It will be like Ryzen 7000 series. Too expensive. Most people won't buy, and it will be left on the shelves. Maybe initially the first batch will sell out to bots and early adopters, but when the stock comes back I believe it will just sit there until they reduce the prices.
