42 Minutes till the MOH airborn Demo

uh the demo is running like a pig compared to rainbow 6 vegas and bioshock :S

Running fine here. Was getting stuttering every few seconds the first time I played it but I think that was something else causing it. Bioshock doesn't have motion blur so I would expect MOH:A to run a bit slower.

I was pleasantly surprised by this. Just randomly decided to download it earlier (took about 12 mins to download :D) and given that it's an EA game it's pretty good. Not hugely realistic compared to the likes of red orchestra but the atmosphere is good and the constant vocal...ness of everyone, and the fairly open ended aspect.

Seems OK although unless I'm missing something regarding the game progression, there seems to be a distinct lack of checkpoints considering the game has no save feature. The likes of MOH:AA and CoD1/2 had way more frequent CPs than this.

Performance wise it seemed fine to me, 45-90fps on a [email protected], GTS320, 2gig PC6400C4 in 1650x1080 max settings.

Dont need checkpoints, When you die you just respawn in the plane and drop back into wherever you want, There is no story/long missions in this game, just short stories if you like, no need to save really as you dont die as such.

blah im glad the call of duty series has moved away from the world war plots fair enough there are some ok features in MoH like the whole jumping out of plane to pick check points and customizeable weapons but for me its just the same old world war plot which has been pretty boreing for a few years now..

Ahh its working now I had to remove some of the older Ageia drivers I had on my machine.

yeh thats what i had to do. I figured it must be that because it crapped out when it was preparing the aegia install.

Game runs smooth as butter :D , not sure if ill be getting this straight away but I would like to check it out furthur down the line.. . It's also not like you miss the AA the motion blur helps...

Wow i have to say what a game! Well what a demo at least, though i thought it was a bit short. I've heard complaints at the bioshock demo being to short but i havent tried it yet, downloading atm. Game felt really good, and as much as i love CoD (1 not 2) i have to say my favourite WW2 fps has handed over to the MoH series. This game is just so much better than CoD2, as much as i liked that game.

Seems just so much more natural to me than other fps's, what with your team being so supportive in their tactics, the fairly freeform feeling, and the immersion. The engine works really well on my comp (q6600, 2gb ddr2 800MHz, 8800GTS 320MB, 1440x900) and looks awesome. Looks fairly similar to CoD2 but perhaps a little more realistic.

Still can't get over the whole "just hide for a bit to regain health" concept but it does make the game seem to play much smoother, no more desperately looking for health.

Anyway seriously good demo, suggests great things are coming on the wind...

Still no aa fixes then :( I tried the oblivion fix and it works to a very small degree, in the plane you basically get a static fsaa applied image with the game playing behind it. Briefing screen is black, title screen has no planes etc. Obviously not playable at all since you're looking at one image.

good demo i enjoyed it it run realy well with all maxed 1024*768 (moniters max res) and 8xaf on my C2D e2060 1.8@3Ghz 2 gig of ram and a x1950pro
