4400+ @ FX-60??

Aye, all it lacks is the ability to increase the multiplier, which isn't all that important with current high FSB motherboards.

could i get a 4400+ @ FX-60 on stock volts on really good air (like SI-120 & Delta)

No-one can answer that, only way to find out is to try it yourself as every chip is different.

My x2 4800 runs @ 2.7ghz on 1.37v on the core(stock cooling) i know its not the same cpu as you but the stepping is more important than anything with overclocking, what i did was ask the shops what stepping they had in stock before i ordered from them and most replyed but not 0cUK :(
Good luck with the search :)

Go into the cpu section of the forum that shouid get you started m8 there are a few other places you can try but i dont think i can say on here without going on a little holiday :P

Did a quick search for you m8.

CCBWE 0524 RPMW <==== these on air should do about 2.7ghz
CCBWE 0528 BPMW
CCBWE 0522TPMW

Any of the above are good steppings but it all depends on you hardware if it`s up to the job,i`ll tell you what i was told about steppings "it`s just the luck of the draw if you get a good one".

What i will say is try and get as much imfomation about certain cpu`s before you order,i got my cpu on the fourth attempt. :D

There's an argument to be had for saying it would actually be faster, especially if you manage to get your ram running at 1:1 because it'll be going faster than ddr400

(ie mine is at 520 when I run at 260x10)

I'll dig my stepping out because it walked to 2.6, admittedly with a voltage increase but still, solid as a rock with sensible temps.

Mine is currently at 2.65. I did have to up the voltage a fair bit and as such it's running a little warmer than I would like.
I think I'll try to bring the voltage down and if that doesn't work, it's time for better cooling.

I did manage to get it through a 1M Superpi at 2.8 but 2.65 was the highest I could get it prime stable.

No idea what the stepping is, I'm afraid.

Stan :)

The 0601 (or 0602 - can't remember) steppings of X2 3800s are a very good bunch. Mine does 2.6 at stock volts under air. It could be the same for 4400s but you might have to check.

My Opteron 170 - essentially the same chip as the 4400+ - is at 2.7 using the stock cooler and stock volts and running with no problem at all.
