i've got my 4400 up to 2.6 at the mo, no big deal but i need to do a volt mod to the mobo to get it higher and stable. (asrock dual 930 VSTA)
at that frequency i have to have the memory on a divider of 166 (5/6) and consequently suffer a memory speed drop so its only running at 185mhz.
however it is running at 1t with lower timings than stock.
my question is on a 939 4400+ setup will this make any difference in performance? i know people always said higher cpu speeds was always better for amd's than bandwidth?
i did have it set at 2.5 with memory @ 208/1t 166 divider.
my 3dmark scores are higher now but obviously 3dmark aint the be all and end all.
i'll volt mod it soon, so i can get > 2.6+ stable (liable to crash if i go higher with its 1.4v max) and higher memory speeds
so do you gurus think i should stick with the current 2.6 o/c and 185mhz memory speed or go back to 2.5 208mhz memory speed? 208/1t is highest this memory will go stable)
