450D memory card slot problem

I have just bought a 450D and on putting a Sandisk Extreme 2 SD card in I found it quite stiff and the eject doesn't really work.

Eg I push it in half way easily, push it harder to lock but when I come to eject it and press it again it doesn't pop up and I have to use my nails to pull it out. Is this normal? Or am I being fussy?

I too have just purchased a 450D and the very same sd card.

i push mine in and it pops up a few mil, enough to grab it and remove it without any issue.

How are you finding the camera otherwise?

This barely pops up, not even a mm. Can't grab it at all.

It's for my dad's birthday so it has to be spot on, its his first DSLR so I just taking it out of the box and checking it over.

Off I go to get it replaced then!
